Who we are and which version this covers

LockFeed and LockQuiz are provided by Mosaic Integral Innovations LLC. This policy covers this website, LockFeed on the LockQuiz app identity, including released version 1.6 and the upcoming 1.7 update. The SAT-only LockQuiz 1.0 release is also covered by its privacy page. For privacy questions, contact support@lockfeed.app.

Advertising measurement in version 1.7 is optional. It starts only after a separate in-app choice and Apple tracking permission. The Meta disclosures below apply when you install version 1.7 or later and enable that choice. Versions 1.4–1.6 provide separately optional PostHog analytics; versions 1.2–1.3 do not include analytics or tracking.

Information kept on your device

The app does not require an account. Quiz content, artwork and sounds are included in the app. Full quiz history, question order, preferences and civics answer-profile settings are stored locally. We do not receive typed answers, search text, elected-official names or other civics profile entries.

In version 1.4 and later, optional analytics can describe standalone practice actions, question identifiers, correctness and timing as explained below. It does not upload your complete local quiz history or collect quiz activity associated with unlocking a protected app.

Screen Time stays on your device

With your permission, the app uses Apple’s Screen Time frameworks to let you select apps, apply restrictions and temporarily unlock an app after a quiz. Apple’s picker represents selections with opaque tokens. Selected-app tokens, lock settings, unlock durations, successful-unlock counts and temporary access state stay on your device and are shared only with the app’s own Screen Time extensions through private on-device storage.

We do not send Screen Time-derived selections, selected-app counts, app identities, authorization results, usage, app-unlock activity or related quiz results to PostHog or Meta. Enabled quiz pools and the quiz assigned to an app-unlock request are also excluded. The app does not access other apps’ content or display or collect Screen Time usage reports. Unlock timers measure elapsed time, not how long you spend scrolling. You can manage Screen Time permission in iOS Settings independently of the analytics choice.

Optional product analytics

Versions 1.4 and later ask both new and existing users whether to allow analytics. Collection is off until you explicitly agree. You can decline and continue using the app, or turn analytics off later in Settings. Declining analytics does not remove purchased access, consume a free app unlock or change an already assigned offer.

If enabled, the app sends the following to PostHog, our analytics service provider using its US cloud:

• Installation identifier (Device ID): a randomly generated identifier for this installation, with app version, device model, operating-system and device time-zone information. It is not an advertising identifier or an app account.
• Product interaction: app sessions, quiz-library browsing, practice entry, standalone practice and learning/demo interactions, and paywall interactions. These can include quiz and question identifiers, answer correctness, attempt timing and categorical outcomes. They exclude typed answers and search text.
• Purchase history: product and transaction identifiers, verified purchase or restore outcomes, purchase status, price, currency and transaction environment when available.

These categories are linked to the installation identifier and used for analytics and to personalize the lifetime offer shown in the price experiment. Analytics helps us understand app behavior, reliability and purchase conversion. The installation identifier, installation cohort and purchase eligibility help assign and consistently display the offer. PostHog analytics is not used for targeted advertising or tracking you across other companies’ apps or websites. Meta advertising measurement has its own separate choice, described below. We do not collect IDFA, session recordings, screenshots, keystrokes or automatic UI interaction recordings. The integration uses explicit, filtered events rather than UI autocapture.

The app suppresses IP-address and location enrichment in its analytics events. As with any HTTPS service, the receiving network or service may process ordinary connection information needed to deliver and secure requests. PostHog may process information outside your country. Its privacy information describes its own practices.

Optional Meta ad measurement in version 1.7

We use Meta’s iOS SDK to measure which Facebook and Instagram ads bring people to LockFeed and lead to purchases. This is separate from PostHog analytics. It is off until you choose to share ad measurement in LockFeed and allow Apple’s App Tracking Transparency permission. Declining either permission leaves app functionality and purchases available. You can turn it off in LockFeed Settings or revoke Apple tracking permission in iOS Settings.

When enabled, Meta receives app-open/session events and newly verified production purchase events with the paid amount and currency. The SDK also sends app and SDK versions, device and operating-system metadata, installation/session identifiers, permission status, timestamps and ordinary network information. Meta may link this information with activity on its services for advertising measurement. The integration restricts event use to analytics and conversions and disables IDFA collection, automatic event and purchase logging, codeless logging and automatic advanced matching. We do not supply an email address, phone number, quiz identifier, product identifier or transaction identifier to Meta’s purchase event.

Protected-app selections, Screen Time activity, unlock history, enabled quiz pools, assigned unlock quizzes and all quiz answers/results are excluded. Restored purchases, earlier purchases made while opted out and sandbox purchases are not reported as new Meta purchases. Turning the choice off stops future app activation and purchase event submissions; already in-flight requests may finish. The initialized SDK may still make technical configuration requests during the current app process. Turning the choice off does not delete information already received by Meta. Meta processes information under its Privacy Policy, potentially outside your country. Contact us with privacy requests concerning information we control.

Price experiments and purchases

Apple processes lifetime-purchase payments and maintains its own transaction records. The app uses StoreKit to verify signed transaction information and restore access. We do not receive your payment-card details. Version 1.3 does not send purchase transactions to us or PostHog; versions 1.4 and later send the purchase analytics described above only if enabled.

In versions 1.4 and later, eligible new installations that allow analytics may receive one randomly assigned lifetime offer. The offer is saved so it remains consistent; an unavailable experiment does not silently assign a different price. Existing installations retain the US$4.99 offer, and existing verified lifetime purchases remain recognized. The gift animation reveals the assigned offer; it does not initiate a purchase. Retention and earlier records

Local information remains on your device until cleared or removed, subject to your device and backup settings. Analytics and support records are retained as needed for the purposes described in this policy and applicable legal obligations. Contact us to request access or deletion. Turning analytics off stops further analytics collection and delivery from the app; it does not automatically delete information already received by us or our providers.

Earlier versions of the separate LockFeed app used PostHog. LockQuiz 1.0 and LockFeed 1.2–1.3 on the LockQuiz identity do not include PostHog. Updating or removing an app does not itself delete historical provider records. Apple may retain its own purchase records independently.

Support messages

If you contact us, we receive your email address, message and any attachments so we can respond and investigate. We handle those communications through our email service and retain them as needed to resolve requests, maintain relevant support records and satisfy applicable legal obligations. Please do not send passwords, payment-card details or sensitive screenshots.

This website and external links

This website does not set analytics cookies or run third-party tracking scripts. Our hosting provider, Hostinger, may process ordinary request information, such as IP addresses, browser information, requested pages and timestamps, to deliver and secure the website. Email links open your own email application; this website does not submit a contact form.

Study-source, artwork-credit and other external links open websites with their own privacy practices. Opening those links is separate from using the quiz content included in the app.

Service providers and sharing

We use Apple for Screen Time and StoreKit payment and purchase verification, Hostinger for website hosting, our email service for support and, in versions 1.4 and later with your permission, PostHog for analytics. Version 1.7 adds Meta for separately consented advertising measurement. Providers process information to deliver these services. We do not sell personal information for money. In version 1.7 and later, separately consented Meta advertising measurement shares the limited information described above to measure our campaigns. We do not send Screen Time or quiz information to Meta. We may disclose information when required by law or to protect users, our services or legal rights.

Your choices and privacy requests

You can change or disable selected app locks inside the app and revoke Screen Time access in iOS Settings. In version 1.4 and later, the separate analytics setting lets you allow or withdraw PostHog analytics collection. Version 1.7 adds a separate Share ad measurement setting for Meta. Removing the app does not remove support correspondence, previously received analytics or copies in your own backups.

For access, correction or deletion requests concerning information we hold, contact support@lockfeed.app. We may ask for information needed to locate relevant records and verify your request. Available rights depend on applicable law. We cannot retrieve your local quiz history or app-selection tokens.

Children’s privacy

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information through analytics or a support request, contact us so we can investigate and address it.

Security and updates

We use reasonable measures to protect information, but no system can guarantee complete security. We may update this policy as the app or our practices change. Updates appear here with a revised date.
