Your app version

LockQuiz is provided by Mosaic Integral Innovations LLC and is now named LockFeed. This page covers SAT-only LockQuiz 1.0, released LockFeed versions through 1.6 and the upcoming 1.7 update on the same app identity. Contact support@lockfeed.app with privacy questions.

LockQuiz 1.0 and LockFeed 1.2–1.3 have no analytics or tracking. Version 1.3 uses Apple’s StoreKit for a lifetime purchase. Versions 1.4 and later provide optional PostHog analytics and a price experiment; these do not run in earlier versions. Version 1.7 adds the separate Meta measurement choice described below.

Local quizzes and Screen Time

No app account is required. Quiz content, artwork and sounds are included in the app. Full local quiz history, preferences, typed answers and civics profile entries are not uploaded. Apple’s Screen Time picker provides opaque app-selection tokens. Selections, lock settings, successful-unlock counts and temporary access state remain in private on-device storage shared with the app’s own Screen Time extensions.

Even when analytics is enabled in version 1.4 and later, Screen Time-derived selections, app identities and counts, authorization results, usage, app-unlock activity and related quiz results are not sent to PostHog or Meta. Enabled quiz pools and assigned unlock quizzes are also excluded. The app does not access other apps’ content or collect Screen Time usage reports. You can revoke Screen Time permission independently in iOS Settings.

Optional analytics in 1.4 and later

Both new and existing users are asked to choose. Collection is off until you explicitly allow it, and you can turn it off in Settings. If enabled, PostHog’s US cloud receives a random installation identifier (Device ID), app and device metadata (including device time zone), app-owned Product Interaction and Purchase History, linked by that installation identifier for analytics and personalization of the lifetime offer. The installation identifier, installation cohort and purchase eligibility help assign and consistently display the offer.

Product interactions include sessions, browsing, standalone practice and learning/demo activity, and paywall interactions. They may include practice question identifiers, correctness and timing. Purchase information can include product and transaction identifiers, verified purchase or restore outcomes, price, currency and purchase status. Typed answers, search text, civics profile values and Screen Time-derived data are excluded. PostHog does not use an advertising identifier, cross-company advertising tracking, session replay, screenshot capture or UI autocapture. Meta measurement in version 1.7 has its own optional permission, described below.

The optional price experiment can assign a consistent lifetime offer to eligible new installations after analytics consent. Existing installations retain their US$4.99 offer; existing verified lifetime access remains recognized. Disabling analytics does not remove purchased access or reassign an offer. Apple shows localized prices and handles checkout.

Optional Meta ad measurement in version 1.7

We use Meta’s iOS SDK to measure which Facebook and Instagram ads bring people to LockFeed and lead to purchases. This is separate from PostHog analytics. It is off until you choose to share ad measurement in LockFeed and allow Apple’s App Tracking Transparency permission. Declining either permission leaves app functionality and purchases available. You can turn it off in LockFeed Settings or revoke Apple tracking permission in iOS Settings.

When enabled, Meta receives app-open/session events and newly verified production purchase events with the paid amount and currency. The SDK also sends app and SDK versions, device and operating-system metadata, installation/session identifiers, permission status, timestamps and ordinary network information. Meta may link this information with activity on its services for advertising measurement. The integration restricts event use to analytics and conversions and disables IDFA collection, automatic event and purchase logging, codeless logging and automatic advanced matching. We do not supply an email address, phone number, quiz identifier, product identifier or transaction identifier to Meta’s purchase event.

Protected-app selections, Screen Time activity, unlock history, enabled quiz pools, assigned unlock quizzes and all quiz answers/results are excluded. Restored purchases, earlier purchases made while opted out and sandbox purchases are not reported as new Meta purchases. Turning the choice off stops future app activation and purchase event submissions; already in-flight requests may finish. The initialized SDK may still make technical configuration requests during the current app process. Turning the choice off does not delete information already received by Meta. Meta processes information under its Privacy Policy, potentially outside your country. Contact us with privacy requests concerning information we control.

Purchases, retention and requests

Apple processes payments and its own transaction records. StoreKit verifies purchases and restores access; we do not receive payment-card details. Version 1.3 does not send transaction analytics to us. In version 1.4 and later, purchase analytics is sent only when enabled.

Local information remains on your device until cleared or removed, subject to device and backup settings. Turning analytics off stops further collection and delivery from the app but does not automatically delete records already received. Contact support@lockfeed.app to request access, correction or deletion. We may need information to locate records and verify your request. We cannot retrieve local quiz history or app-selection tokens.
