LockQuiz → LockFeed
A little help.
LockQuiz is now LockFeed. Current LockFeed 1.3 includes the full quiz library, onboarding and a one-time lifetime purchase. Optional analytics and a gift-price experiment are planned for 1.4. Use the instructions for the version installed on your iPhone.
LockFeed 1.3: get started
Follow the first-run setup to try a quiz demonstration, allow Apple’s native Screen Time permission and choose the apps you want to lock. You can change your choices in Settings afterward. Choose one Current Quiz for your protected apps. Under Unlock Time, choose 5 minutes, 15 minutes, For Today, or a custom duration. No app account is required. Existing configured users can continue directly to the main app.
LockFeed 1.3: unlock an app
Open a protected app and follow its quiz prompt. If iOS instructs you to open LockFeed, switch to LockFeed manually. Complete the selected quiz to unlock that app for your chosen reward. Other protected apps remain locked. Practice mode does not grant an unlock.
Timed rewards use elapsed time even while you are in another app. For Today ends at local midnight. Restrictions return when the reward ends. You can turn locks off or remove apps in Settings.
Lifetime access in current 1.3
LockFeed 1.3 includes five successful real app unlocks, followed by a US$4.99 one-time lifetime purchase for additional unlocks. Standalone quiz practice requires lifetime purchase from the start, even if free app unlocks remain. The onboarding demonstration stays free. There is no subscription; Apple shows the localized purchase price. Earlier version 1.2 was free.
Existing successful-unlock counts carry forward. Only a real app unlock counts: wrong answers, retries, onboarding demonstrations and practice do not. The fifth earned unlock keeps its full selected duration. Settings and the ability to disable or remove locks stay available without paying. The count remains on your device; reinstalling the app may reset it.
Use Restore Purchases with the purchasing Apple Account to restore verified lifetime access. If the price is unavailable, use Retry. Apple handles payments and refund requests. A refund or revocation removes paid access for future unlocks and practice without ending an already earned unlock early.
What is planned for 1.4?
The five-unlock allowance and paid standalone practice stay the same. Both new and existing users will be offered optional analytics, which is off until you explicitly agree and can be disabled in Settings. It covers app-owned browsing, standalone practice, learning/demo, sessions and purchases. Screen Time-derived data and app-unlock quiz activity are excluded. Read the privacy policy.
Eligible new installations that allow analytics may receive a randomly assigned lifetime offer with a US base price of $0.99, $2.99, $4.99, $9.99 or $19.99. The offer is saved; the gift animation reveals it without starting a purchase. Existing installations keep their US$4.99 offer, and existing verified lifetime purchases remain recognized. If the experiment is unavailable or you decline analytics, the ordinary US$4.99 offer applies. Offer comparisons use the available current US$30.00 standard lifetime option, not a previous price you paid. Apple shows localized prices before checkout. See the Terms of Service.
LockQuiz 1.0: SAT-only instructions
Tap “Choose apps to lock,” allow Screen Time permission, and select individual apps in Apple’s picker. Choose a 5, 15, 30, or 60 minute unlock. Tap “Answer to unlock” for the app you want to use and answer correctly. Only that app unlocks. Editing the selection or unlock time ends current unlocks. “Try a practice question” does not unlock an app.
Which quizzes are included?
LockQuiz 1.0 includes 40 original SAT math, reading, and writing drills. The current LockFeed library also includes guitar fretboard notes, ACT, MCAT, LSAT, US bar practice, UK driving, UK citizenship, US citizenship in multiple-choice and typed formats, world flags, vocabulary, chess, and art history.
These practice activities do not reproduce a full exam or predict a score. Source links and applicable credits are available in the app. SAT is a trademark of College Board, which is not affiliated with and does not endorse the app.
Why is an app not locking?
Check that the app has Screen Time permission, the app you want to protect is individually selected, and its lock is enabled. An active unlock may still be running. You can revoke Screen Time permission in iOS Settings at any time. If the problem continues, email us with your iPhone model, iOS version, app version, and the steps that caused it. Do not send passwords, personal documents, or sensitive screenshots.
